Kara Lynn Joyce
Kara Lynn Joyce is a three-time Olympian who swam for the University of Georgia. In high school, Joyce broke five National High School Records in freestyle events. Joyce began swimming for UGA in 2004. While with the Bulldogs, Joyce was part of one Bulldog NCAA Championship Title, along with multiple individual and relay championship titles. In 2006, Joyce earned Swimmer of the Year honors during the NCAA Championships. She also became the first swimmer in the Women’s NCAA Championships to win the 50y, 100y, and 200y freestyle events during championships. Joyce has represented Team USA in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, and the 2012 Olympic Games in London, as well as multiple World Championships, the Pan-Pacific Games, and the Pan-American Games.
