A backstroke specialist, Quinn participated in the Senior National Championships and the 1968 Olympic Trials. Quinn was coached by fellow Georgia Aquatic Hall of Famer, Pete Higgins. She was a four-year State Champion in the 100y backstroke and set the National Record in 1967. Although Quinn attended Duke University, she was unable to continue swimming because Duke did not have a women\u2019s team.
